Major prizewinner of the 2015 Roma International Piano Competition, Canadian-Chinese concert pianist Han Xiang Xu debuts with a beautifully crafted collaborative album exploring the colours and visual nuances of piano sonatas by Clementi, Chopin, Scriabin, and Bartok. The album is crafted in collaboration with renowned visual artist Xiao Ming Xu, where each sonata is visually represented by a work from X.M. Xu in the album booklet.
Han Xiang Xu has been recognised across the world for his musical talents, winning prizes at the Canadian Music Competition, Grand Virtuoso (Paris) and Thousand Island Competition.
As well as being a skilled pianist, Han Xiang is a black belt in Taekwando. His postgraduate thesis brings together his great passions for both piano and the martial arts, exploring the incorporation of Tai Chi techniques into piano performance.
